Wet painting impromptu
Process-based exhibition, MFA Show, Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, 2015
A wet painting impromptu is a fragmented present-in-the-moment colour- and text-based process and presentation.
The exhibition consists of a wet painting installation, novel, framed text-based works, paintings and site-specific words and colours. An artist is a gardener who returns back to the work to maintain the growth of colour. Over the duration of the exhibition, the wet painting is: pigments reacting to the light and temperature of the space and documenting motion on the surface of the text-île. Text works as a perspective in both literal and parallel sense.
